The reason for this price increase is the addition of Star. Disney+ is adding a wider range of general entertainment films and series to its catalog from Feb. 23. At this point, the price of a monthly subscription will increase to £7.99 per month and an annual subscription will move to £79.90 per year for new subscribers. If you beat this deadline, you can subscribe for £5.99 per month or 59.99 per year.
Don’t panic if you’re already subscribed, because the price for existing monthly and annual members won’t increase until the subscriber’s first bill date after Aug. 22. You’ve still got a bit of time to assess your options.
