The smartphones under Rs 7,000 in India is not the most popular or most demanding segment. However, there is still a fair amount of interest and users are looking to buy a cheap phone for aged persons or for children’s educational purpose. While there are not many launches that happened in the past few months for this segment, there are a handful options available right now in India.

Once the GST rates got hiked last year and the production was slowed down due to lockdown, the smartphones under Rs 7,000 almost became void. However, things got slightly better towards the end of 2020 with Xiaomi and Micromax launching their cheap phones which falls in the sub Rs 7,000 segment.
