If you couldn’t already tell from all of the early Black Friday deals out there, the arrival of Oprah Winfrey’s annual gift guide is the surest sign that the holiday shopping season is in full swing — and this year, it’s got “a special twist.”

Released in partnership with Amazon Nov. 6, the multi-hyphenate entertainer’s 2020 Favorite Things list features six dozen stocking stuffers, 50 of which come from Black-owned or led small businesses.

“Because so many people want to support Black lives any way they can, we’ve found dozens of absolutely gorgeous gifts from Black-owned businesses that deserve to be celebrated, because we believe Black lives — and Black businesses — matter,” Oprah wrote on her website. “So for 2020, most of my Favorite Things are from Black-owned or -led companies.”

Geared toward a variety of budgets and recipients, her picks start out at $9.99 for a digital copy of A Kids Book About Racism and go all the way up to a $3.497.98 Samsung outdoor TV. Its selection is way more home-, lifestyle- and beauty-centric than last year’s list — which makes sense, since colder temperatures and coronavirus pandemic have us all stuck inside and/or prioritizing self-care— but you’ll find a smattering of neat tech gadgets in there, too.
