Merry Prime Day Eve, indeed: Apple’s AirPods Pro have returned to their all-time-low sale price of $199 ahead of the two-day shopping event.
The bestselling wireless earbuds normally retail for $249, but for a limited time, you can grab a pair for just $199 at either Amazon or Walmart (which is giving the former some competition this week with its own Big Save deals). That’s a savings of $50, or a solid 20% off.
The AirPods Pro weren’t around for Prime Day 2019, but they’d been out for about a month once Black Friday and Cyber Monday rolled around in November — and boy, were things different then. It was really difficult to find them in stock, much less on sale, although we did see them get a $14 discount on Amazon at one point. (It was the only major retailer to run any sort of deal on them all weekend long.)
At almost a year out, we can confidently say that not only is now the time to buy, but that the AirPods Pro are *still* some of the finest wireless earbuds on the market: They’re water-resistant, their controls are decently intuitive, they’re remarkably comfortable (even for small ears), and they offer “impressive noise cancellation for the size,” writes Mashable tech reporter Karissa Bell. (You can read her full review here.)
We know the Q-tippy look of AirPods isn’t for everyone, but compared to previous-gen models, these AirPods Pro features “are big enough that even the most hardened AirPods skeptics will be hard-pressed to complain” (to quote Bell once again).
