Peloton this, Mirror that. Yes, you could easily drop a whole $1,400 stimulus check (and then some) on some fancy new fitness equipment for your home gym. But first: Consider the humble rowing machine.

Cardio-heavy yet low impact, a rower is a stellar choice for people who want a toning and calorie-torching full-body workout that doesn’t put too much stress on ye olde joints (i.e., your risk of an injury is relatively low). Another huge draw: Most rowing machines are very apartment/condo-friendly size-wise, taking up little space and folding for easy storage. To top it all off, you can get a really nice one for just a few hundred bucks.

The last time we checked, Amazon had a bunch of rowing machines on sale for up to 41% off (with one coming in at under $100). For an all-in-one workout that won’t break the bank, it doesn’t get much better than this:

With over 6,700 5/5-star reviews on Amazon, this magnetic rower from Sunny Health & Fitness is a clear customer favorite. (It’s one of ours, too, FWIW — it nabbed a spot on Mashable’s rowing machine roundup as the “best bang for your buck.”) Highlights include eight levels of adjustable resistance, a digital monitor that displays your progress, a 48-inch slide rail to accommodate rowers of all shapes and sizes, and a collapsible design with built-in wheels that make it easy to move out of the way.

Typically $399, you can order it off Amazon right now for only $233.71 (a 41% savings).

For a more ~authentic~ rowing experience that mimics the kind of workout you’d get on an actual boat in an actual lake or river, grab a rowing machine with water resistance via a fillable tank — sloshing sounds included. This MaxKare model comes equipped with a steel main frame for durability and a large LCD monitor that tracks all sorts of different fitness data (distance, strokes, calories, etc.); for a fun challenge, see how you do in its competition mode.

Take advantage of the extra savings coupon on its Amazon product page to bring its price down to only $374.94 — that’s 25% off its $499.99 MSRP.

Sunny Health & Fitness’ most basic rower is an ultra-lightweight machine with 12 levels of hydraulic tension and a digital display with time, stroke count, calories, and scan functions. It’s nothing special spec-wise — note that it only supports users up to 220 pounds — but as with the brand’s magnetic rower (above), Amazon customers really seem to like it: At the time of writing, it had nearly 6,000 5/5-star reviews with just over 9,300 total ratings.

Amazon will give it to you for just $88.12, which is 19% off its suggested retail price of $109.

An extra-long slide rail that’s 49 inches from tip to end (with a 45-inch inseam length) and a 264-pound weight capacity makes this magnetic rower from MaxKare a great pick for people as tall as 6’5″. It sports a built-in LCD screen for calorie, reps, time, and count metrics and boasts the most resistance levels out of all the rowers on this list (a whopping 16).
