Yawn, stretch, grab your phone and start Wordle-ing… it’s Sunday, so let’s have a relaxed time before giving away the Wordle answer, OK?
After all, just throwing the solution at you seems a bit redundant. You clearly haven’t lost yet, otherwise you wouldn’t be searching for the answer. Maybe you’re down to the last guess and don’t want to blow your streak… we can help.
(And if you do want answer #253, then you can just scroll straight down. No judgement).
Other Wordle tips
And it’s not just this page that can help you – check back tomorrow when we’ll see the return of Lance Ulanoff, a professionally-gifted writer, giving his daily diary on how to play like a pro. He’s being all lazy and having a weekend off at the moment.
Today’s Wordle hint from TechRadar
We won’t lie, today was a good day for Wordle in the TechRadar household – we managed to get it in three from this heavily inauspicious start.
Our strategy morphs from day to day, as our goal is not to get the word as quickly as possible but to train the brain into thinking about word construction – which is why we were so pleased to use previously-learned processes today to get the answer.
Today’s tip – you’ve probably found there’s an ‘H’ in the mix, and that’s always a trickster. The most likely way that’s used will be as part of ‘TH’, but we know that’s unlikely here as few words end in T and use TH.
H has other bedfellows too, as it can combine with P, S or even G – but we’re going for the more common C here.
So… if you’re stuck, think about CH as a combo. The screenshot above shows you where the T goes, and CHT isn’t an oft-used combo (unless you’re German).
Good luck… and if you’re still unsure, head to the answer.
Other ways to find Wordle’s 5 letter words
Look, we’re going to make one final plea before we give you the answer – why not try a 5 letter word generator? There are loads of great tools online that can help you learn a bit more about the world of Wordle and how to get the right letters first – how about you check one of those out?
One of our favorites is WordFinderX, which allows you to put in letters at the start and the end if you know them and, crucially: allows you to enter any letters that don’t fit.
