Coronavirus social distancing has made many of our previous activities much more difficult — including getting some sweet, sweet lovin’. Late Night with Seth Meyers illustrated this on Tuesday with a very ’80s infomercial sketch promoting the fake album Quarantine Love, “written yesterday by two very old R&B singers who had to shelter in place apart.”
Played by Amber Ruffin and Mustache Amber Ruffin, the separated lovers crooned various “hits” such as “What You Like” (“And I know that thing you like / So let’s get together on FaceTime / And do them to ourselves”) and “Voyeur” (“Put your booty up on that window / And I’ll be on the street”). There was also an instrumental “Zoom Orgy,” which is somehow even less sexy than it sounds.
