Vivo’s premium flagship smartphones have always focused on their cameras. The X series flagship especially has always been one of the best devices when it comes to the camera.
The company’s current X series lineup consists of X30 series and the X27 series in recent years. Their successor will be the Vivo X50 was unveiled in China back in June and recently it was also launched in India.
The primary focus of the Vivo X50 series is the rear camera which comes with gimbal-like image stabilization(only X50 Pro). The series consists of three devices Vivo X50, X50 Pro, and X50 Pro Plus. All three are 5G smartphones. The X50 Pro Plus comes with flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset on board while the other two-pack in Snapdragon 765G chipsets.

Vivo X50 Pro launched in India: Price and specs
The Vivo X50 Pro is the new top-of-the-line flagship. It sports a glass sandwich design that is just 8.04mm thick and weighs 181.5 grams. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 765G, making it the first phone in India to do so.
On the front, you have a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and for HDR10+ support. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on FunTouch OS based on Android 10 and is backed by a 4,315mAh battery with 33W Flash Charging over USB Type-C interface.
The USP of the Vivo X50 Pro is its camera setup. There is a primary 48MP f/1.6 custom primary shooter with a gimbal module, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide which also acts as the macro shooter, a 13MP short telephoto lens, and a periscopic 8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. You get a 32MP front camera which is housed in a punch-hole cutout.
You get an in-display fingerprint for security and other features include Hi-Res and 3D soundtracking for audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.1. The Vivo X50 Pro comes in Alpha Grey colour option.

Vivo X50 launched in India: Price and specs
The Vivo X50 is the younger sibling of the Vivo X50 Pro lower price tag and minor charges. The major change comes in the camera department. It is also powered by the same Snapdragon 765G SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device is backed by a 4,200mAh battery that can be juiced up quickly with at 33W.
The Vivo X50 is also the thinnest 5G phone measuring in at just 7.5mm and weighing just 174.5 grams. It packs in the same 6.56-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen with HDR10+ capabilities. The X50 has a quad-camera setup with a 48MP f/1.6 primary image sensor but you do not get the gimbal system here. You get an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro shooter and a 13MP 2x telephoto lens for portraits and 20x digital zoom. On the front, you get a 32MP snapper.
You get an in-display fingerprint for security and other features include Hi-Res and 3D soundtracking for audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.1. The Vivo X50 Pro comes in Frost Blue and Glaze Black colour options in India.
The Vivo X50 starts at Rs 34,990 in India for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and Rs 37,990 for the 256GB variant.
Vivo X50 Pro Plus
The Vivo X50 Pro Plus is a flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 865 processor. It is currently available only in China and did not launch in India. It is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The Pro Plus packs in a 4350mAh battery with 44W flash charge technology. Since it is the top of the line flagship phone, there is a 6.56-inch Full HD+ 120Hz display with HDR10+ output.
As far as the camera is concerned, you get a quad-camera array with primary 50MP(f/1.8) with optical image stabilization, a 32MP portrait lens, 13MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 13MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 60x superzoom. Over at the front, you get a 32MP shooter.

Vivo TWS Neo
Along with the X50 series in India, the colony also entered the wireless audio segment in India with the TWS Neo. The Vivo TWS Neo comes with half in-ear style design with a stem. The earbuds harness Bluetooth 5.2 with Qualcomm QC3046 chipset. You get support for aptX adaptive HD audio along with basic AACand SBC audio profiles.
It uses a 14.2mm moving coil drivers which supports DeepX stereo sound. The low latency mode takes latency down to just 88ms. The charging case has an LED light indicator in the front and it comes in U shape. On a single charge that TWS will last up to 4.5 hours with AAC sound profile and it will last up to 2.9 hours with aptX standard sound. With the case, the TWS lasts up to 27 hours.
For controls, there these buds have capacitive controls. Double-tap, press and hold, and volume slider are supported out of the box and users will be able to customize as per their choice. It also supports Google assistant and instant connection. Other key features of the Vivo TWS Neo includes a dual microphone with AI noise cancellation, IP54 water resistance for earbuds, and 20-20KHz frequency range.
