Anything could happen the night of the 2025 Oscars—with key races, like Best Picture, lacking formidable front-runners going into the 97th Academy Awards. Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the awards will occur at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Lucky for those on the East Coast who appreciate an early bedtime, the 2025 Oscars are keeping the earlier airtime debuted that during last year. The 97th Academy Awards ceremony starts streaming online at 7 pm ET on Sunday, March 2.

How to Watch the 97th Academy Awards Ceremony

In a first for the awards ceremony, the 2025 Oscars will be streamed live through the Hulu app as well as on the ABC broadcast channel. Want to watch via streaming? A subscription to Hulu’s service costs $10 a month for the ad-supported plan and $19 a month for the tier without ads. Are you a college student? People who are currently enrolled at a university qualify for Hulu’s discounted rate of $2 a month.

Do you already have access to cable at home, whether that’s through a live TV streaming service, traditional cable package, or just an over-the-air antenna? Then you don’t need a subscription to Hulu to watch the Oscars. All you have to do is flip the channel over to ABC and enjoy all of your favorite movie stars in their fancy outfits.

For viewers who would like to have an American Sign Language interpreters accompany their experience, the 97th Academy Awards will include a live stream on YouTube that you can watch alongside the ceremony’s broadcast.

Where to Stream the Nominated Movies for Best Picture

Most of the movies up for Best Picture are available to watch at home right now, though between all the streaming services and rental options, trying to watch everything can easily cost a hefty sum. What’s available within subscriptions you may already have? Emilia Pérez is on Netflix. Conclave is streaming on Peacock. And you can watch Dune: Part Two through Max as well as Netflix.
