SAVE $25.99: As of Feb. 26, the Gray/Blue Xbox Wireless Controller is on sale at Walmart for only $39 — that’s 40% off its $64.99 MSRP.
We hate to sound like a broken record, but you should really consider having a second controller handy for your gaming setup: Aside from being key to the whole couch co-op thing, it comes in clutch in case your main controller craps out in the middle of a mission or raid. (It’s annoyingly easy to forget to charge your spare batteries, IMO.)
If you’re Team Xbox or PC, keep reading: Walmart just put the Gray/Blue Xbox Wireless Controller on sale for a mere $39, which is 40% off its suggested retail price of $64.99 and its lowest price anywhere at the time of writing. (We checked Amazon, Best Buy, Target, B&H Photo Video, GameStop, and the Microsoft Store itself, and none of them were able to match or beat Walmart’s pricing.)

Walmart has labeled this controller offer as a “Holiday deal,” which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense since *checks notes* there aren’t any major holidays in late February/early March. If we had to go out on a limb and guess, it might have something to do with the fact that this was its 2020 Cyber Monday price…? Whatever — it’s a bargain no matter how you frame it.
A quick scan of the controller’s customer reviews on Walmart.com reveals that its design is its biggest draw: People love its comfortable, textured grip and flashy color scheme. Other highlights include a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and custom button mapping, which means you can reconfigure its buttons’ inputs based on your personal preferences. (If you’ve ever rotated between different games that use different buttons to jump or shoot, you know how nice this is.)
Note that despite being released in 2018 for Xbox One and Windows 10, this controller is now compatible with the all-new Xbox Series X and S, too.
