TL;DR: As of Aug. 26, the physical version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is finally on sale — save $10 when you pick up your copy on Amazon.

If you’ve spent literally any time on the internet since social distancing guidelines went into effect, you’ve seen people talking about Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s one of Nintendo’s biggest 2020 releases, and players have been flocking to it throughout the lockdown period to find some semblance of peace in these not-so-great times — for many, it’s been the perfect getaway.

We’re happy to say that Animal Crossing is finally on sale (it’s been hard to find it for anything less than full price since launch day) — if you pick up a physical copy on Amazon, you can save $10. It’s not the biggest discount, but hey, why not?

In New Horizons, you’ll be tasked with building and maintaining your very own remote island paradise, meeting various villagers and experiencing all sorts of activities along the way including fishing, swimming, furnishing your home, and just chilling out

Take it from Mashable Entertainment Reporter, Kellen Beck

Animal Crossing: New Horizons isn’t a game that dazzles or gets the heart racing, that’s for sure. The most exciting moments are when you manage to catch a tarantula or rare fish. But it doesn’t need to elicit those kinds of emotions to be great. The game is relaxing and soothing. That’s it’s strong suit and it nails it completely, making it easy to sink hours and hours into in a single day. It is without a doubt the best entry in the series yet.
