As of April 12, both versions of last year’s iPad Pro are on sale on Amazon:
The rumor mill was right about Apple releasing a new iPad Pro this spring, but there’s a catch: Suppliers are having trouble manufacturing MiniLED displays, the next-gen device’s biggest selling point, so it might be very tough to get one upon launch. (You can read more about the predicament here.)
Fortunately for anyone who needs a new tablet, most online retailers’ stock of last year’s iPad Pro remain bounteous. Even better yet, Amazon had both sizes on sale at the time of writing, slashing the price of the 11-inch version by up to $50 and that of the 12.9-inch one by as much as $100 depending on the configuration.

The only real difference between the two models is their measurements, by the way — both feature an A12Z Bionic chipset, a LiDAR scanner (for augmented reality apps), a 10-hour battery life, a quad-speaker setup, trackpad support, and a gorgeous edge-to-edge Liquid Retina screen with ProMotion and True Tone technologies. (That’ll get you adaptive refresh rates for fluid scrolling and more natural-looking colors, respectively.) As for storage, you can choose from 128GB to a whole 1TB of internal memory with either size.
If we had to make a “best for” recommendation, we’d say the 2020 iPad Pro is probably better suited for an artist or creative than someone who’s looking for a total laptop replacement — Apple’s Magic Keyboard is sold separately, and for a cool $99 (though Amazon had marked it down to $89.99 the last time we checked). That extra purchase is way easier to justify now that the tablet itself is on sale, though — and for what it’s worth, the new iPad Pro that’s coming out soon almost certainly won’t be any cheaper.
All in all, it’s a darn good time to buy last year’s iPad Pro — hit either of the blue buttons below to start shopping your preferred size.
