Amazon’s mid-range Echo Show 8 “sits in the Goldilocks zone of smart displays,” to quote our pals over at PCMag (which is owned by Mashable’s publisher, Ziff Davis): “It’s much more powerful than the Echo Show 5, and it costs just over half as much as the 10-inch Echo Show.” Highlights include a crisp HD display, some surprisingly good audio, and as of last fall, support for Zoom’s video conferencing software (just in case any parties in your call don’t manage to grab an Echo Show of their own before Sunday).
Typically $129.99, Amazon’s got it on sale for just $74.99 (a 42% savings). For anyone keeping track at home, that’s just $10 away from its all-time-low Cyber Monday pricing.
The newest and fanciest smart display in Amazon’s lineup, the third-gen Echo Show 10 (which also comes with Zoom support) features an adaptive HD display that automatically moves with you; an upgraded camera that “pans and zooms” to keep you centered and in focus during calls; and a built-in Zigbee smart home hub that lets you control compatible smart devices using voice commands. Oh, and speaking of: For a limited time, all Echo Show 10s come with a free Ring smart bulb (a $14.99 value) that works in virtually any indoor or covered outdoor fixture.
