We love a good Dell XPS 13 deal on Black Friday here at TechRadar, and we’ve found a great offer from Dell itself, knocking the price of the XPS 13 from $999 down to $749.
For that price you get a Dell XPS 13 with a 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor, 512GB SSD and 8GB of RAM. That’s a pretty awesome stack of specs for a laptop of this price, and it’ll easily handle any day-to-day task you throw at it.
Over in the UK, there’s a similar XPS 13 deal for £829 – down from £949. This also comes with a 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of DDR5 RAM, but the hard drive is smaller at 256GB. Still a fantastic laptop, however.
Could this be the best super-cheap laptop on Black Friday? It’s a Lenovo Flex 3 Chromebook that can be converted into a tablet-like device, and it’s only $99 at Best Buy!
With Chromebooks able to run Android apps, not only is this an incredibly cheap laptop, but it’s also a fantastic tablet as well, and it’s a great choice for parents looking for an affordable, yet dependable, laptop for their kids.
‘What about laptop deals in the US?’ I hear you… type. Good question, and as you’d expect, there’s some excellent deals over there as well for Black Friday.
The absolute cheapest laptop I’ve seen in the US that’s worth buying on Black Friday is the HP 11.6-inch Chromebook for $79 (opens in new tab).
Yes, it’s another Chromebook, but as I’ve told anyone who cares to listen (and, to be fair, people who would rather I just shut up), if you’re after a laptop for around $100, you should steer clear of Windows laptops and go for a Chromebook instead – you’ll get a much better experience, as long as you keep your expectations in check.
Want a cheap Windows 11 laptop in the UK for Black Friday? Of course you do! In my book, this is the best value Windows 11 laptop on sale: the Acer Aspire 3, which is £349 at Currys (opens in new tab).
While the CPU isn’t that great, it’s a 10th gen Intel Core i3, it’s not awful for this price, and the 256GB SSD is a bit on the small side. However, it comes with 8GB of RAM, which I think is the minimum you want to run Windows 11 smoothly. Many cheap Windows 11 laptop deals on Black Friday come with 4GB of RAM, so keep an eye out for that, as it’ll lead to a slow and annoying laptop that will make you feel you’ve wasted your money, even if you haven’t spent much.
Let’s start with the very cheapest laptop you can buy in the UK on Black Friday (that’s actually worth buying: the Asus C204MA Chromebook, which is just £119.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab).
This is a brilliant little laptop for kids and students, or anyone who wants a second laptop without spending a fortune. It’s not powerful, but it runs Chrome OS well (the operating system, which is based on Google’s Chrome web browser).
For day to day tasks, like browsing the web or typing up documents (such as home work), then you’re not going to find a better laptop at this ultra-low price.
