It’s time to decide who the best NBA team of 2023 is. The Denver Nuggets had a fairly easy trip through the Western Conference Finals, running over the LA Lakers in four games straight. The Miami Heat had a closer call. After beating the Boston Celtics in the first three games, they lost the next three, which forced a final seventh game. The Celtics hoped to be the first team in NBA history to come back from three straight losses to win the conference finals. Ultimately, the Heat dominated in Game 7.
Did the Heat’s near-loss shake them up or make them stronger? Did the Nuggets’ easy wins hype them up or give them too much time off? We’ll find out tonight. Game 1 of the NBA Finals is tonight, June 1, at 8:30 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on ESPN+ and ABC. The rest of the series will be ABC exclusive. ESPN+ has Game 1 of the NBA Finals, but only Game 1. After that, the series becomes an ABC exclusive. It’s one of the cheapest options for streaming sports, with events like boxing, golf and college sports broadcast daily. If you’re already subscribed to Disney+ or Hulu, you can wrap the services up into one $13 per month bill (called the Disney Bundle) and save a ton of money.

Another way to stream live sports is Hulu with Live TV. Hulu lost access to local ABC affiliates for a few months, but they recently got them back. There is no Hulu with Live TV free trial, but you can bundle the service with ESPN+ and Disney+ to save a few bucks. All together the Disney Bundle with Live TV is $70 per month.

Sling TV is a great option for ditching your cable box because it has a feature we’ve begged cable to have for decades: You can subscribe to smaller packs of channels for less money, so you only pay for the kind of TV you actually watch. There are two main packages, Sling Blue and Sling Orange. You’ll need Sling Blue to get ABC, and unfortunately it’s only available in the eight biggest TV markets in the country, so make sure you’re in one before you subscribe. Unfortunately, there is no Sling TV free trial. Your first month will be $20, with all months after that costing $40.
