SAVE $40: Last year’s Samsung Galaxy Buds Live are on sale on Amazon for only $129.99 as of Jan. 29 — that’s 24% off their suggested retail price of $169.99.

Got an Android phone? You should absolutely, most definitely consider grabbing a pair of the all-new Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, writes Mashable tech guru Brenda Stolyar — that is, if you’ve got $200 to spare.

While not quite as impressive in the noise cancellation department, the secure fit, decent in-app customization options, and stellar sound quality of last summer’s Galaxy Buds Live was enough to earn the Galaxy Buds’ Pro bean-shaped predecessors a Mashable’s Choice Award in August. And now that Amazon’s put them on sale for just $129.99, or $40 off their $169.99 MSRP, their value is pretty tough to top.

(If you’re keeping track at home, you know that’s $10 cheaper than the Galaxy Buds’ Live Black Friday deal and just a few bucks away from their all-time-low price of $126.74, which they hit earlier this month.)

For what it’s worth, there is a point to the Galaxy Buds’ Live sort-of-goofy, legume-y design: They stay super snug in your ear — almost to a fault, if you wear them for more than a couple hours straight — and fit AKG-tuned 12mm speakers with bass ducts and air vents for some truly crisp, rich sound. (“The audio profile compared more favorably to a nice pair of over-ear headphones than I expected thanks to deep, pounding bass,” tech reporter Alex Perry wrote in his review of the Galaxy Buds Live, which you can read here.)

Samsung’s also equipped these bad boys with an always-on Bixby smart assistant and a decent battery, promising up to 8 hours of playtime on a single charge (which you can extend up to 21 extra hours with the included wireless charging case).

Again, the new Galaxy Buds Pro are probably the way to go if you want wireless earbuds with a more “professional” look and best-in-class noise cancellation. But from a performance-per-dollar standpoint, it’s Team Beans all the way now that the Galaxy Buds Live are on sale for so cheap.

Take your pick from four shiny finishes: Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, Mystic White, or Mystic Red.
