Dune: Part Two just had its release date moved up. Unfortunately, that date is not “tomorrow” but we’ll take what we can get.

Originally scheduled for release on November 3, the highly anticipated sci-fi film was then moved to March 15, 2024. Now, it has been shifted slightly to March 1, 2024. Two weeks isn’t much, but it’s better than nothing.

The original move was largely in response to the then ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike which would’ve stopped the film’s stars such as Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya from promoting the film. Of course, that strike is now over, and so things in Hollywood are slowly starting to get back to normal.

March 1 was originally the release date for The Fall Guy, the big-budget action film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. That film has since to early May, because another film—Deadpool 3—moved into July, vacating the date. That left a huge opening at the beginning of the month and so now, we’ll be returning to Arrakis a bit sooner than previously thought.

When that happens, we’ll finally get to see what happens when Paul Atreides, with the help of the Fremen, decides to take back the planet that’s rightfully his. A process that will see him showdown with the villainous Harkonnens and ride a sandworm. We can’t wait.

So, to recap. Dune: Part Two, directed by Denis Villeneuve, starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem, as well as new additions Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux, hits theaters March 1.
