Epic Games has now fully detailed Fortnite Shock ‘N Awesome. You can follow along with the season’s launch as part of TechRadar Gaming’s Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 live blog. Fortnite Chapter 6 is finally here, continuing with Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 which has switched up the map once again. There’s new weapons to try out, a superhero-themed Battle Pass, as well as updates centered around Superman himself.

We now know that the next season of Fortnite will be “Shock ‘N Awesome”. This will be a bug-extermination update, with Power Rangers and Halo Spartans. There’s new bug-themed skins, and a Megazord that can be unlocked later on in Chapter 6 Season 4.

It’s frequent updates like these that make Fortnite one of the best battle royale games around. Last season concluded June 7 with a climactic Star Wars live event, before Chapter 6 Season 3 went live across the world.

When does the current season of Fortnite end?

Fortnite Super will end on August 7, 2025. So far, no details have been shared on specific timings, though the in-game Battle Pass menu does count down to the update. This is when downtime is set to trigger:

  • East Coast (US): August 7 at 1:30AM ET
  • West Coast (US): August 6 at 10:30AM PT
  • United Kingdom: August 7 at 6:30AM BST
  • Central Europe: August 7 at 7:30AM CEST
  • Australia (Sydney): August 7 at 3:30PM AEST
  • Japan (Tokyo): August 7 at 2:30PM JST

When is the next season of Fortnite?

The next season of Fortnite has now been fully revealed, and it’ll launch following downtime on August 7, 2025. Hopefully, downtime is only 2-3 hours (based on the average times of Chapter 6 so far), but it’s worth noting that things have been known to slip slightly in the past.

Epic Games has now fully revealed what’s in store for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, and we now know that it’s called “Shock ‘N Awesome”, and that the Power Rangers are the main tie-in. This will be a Bad Bugs vs. Power Rangers update, with bug enemies and POIs, as well as insect-themed Battle Pass content. You can view the live action trailer below:

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 map changes

Here’s the full map for Fortnite Shock ‘N Awesome. As you can see in the image above, there’s still some previous locations remaining from last season. The new locations are OXR HQ, Rangers Ruin, Swarmy Stash, and The Hive. There’s bug enemies found at the new POIs, and three new Medallions to earn as well.
