Maybe it’s because Hollywood is having a quiet summer in the midst of the ongoing pandemic. Or maybe it’s just that the years-in-the-making movie version of one of Broadway’s biggest hits of all time is less than a week away.
Whatever the thinking is, Disney gifted us with yet another up-close look at the movie version of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton. This is a straight-up trailer, with slight twists on the show’s familiar music and a minute-long flash of clips designed to whet your appetite.
