It’s always a risk when an artist covers a much-beloved classic song. But Phoebe Bridgers and Arlo Parks performed a cover of Radiohead’s iconic song “Fake Plastic Trees” and it most certainly did not disappoint.

For BBC Radio 1’s Piano Sessions, Bridgers and Parks combined their ethereal vocals to perform a stunning piano version of the 1995 song from Radiohead’s second studio album The Bends.

Just to make the whole thing even more melancholic, Bridgers donned a skeleton outfit and the pair performed the song inside a church. As you do.

This isn’t Arlo Parks’ first time covering a Radiohead song. The UK artist has also performed a version of “Creep,” which is also well worth a listen.

The words “green plastic watering can” have never sounded so eerily beautiful.
