When Home Depot launched its 12-foot skeleton in 2020, “Skelly” became an instant viral hit. People couldn’t get enough of the big bone-based behemoth as it popped up in front yards during the worst years of the pandemic. But Skelly is starting to look lonely. It looks like Home Depot plans to fix that with the introduction of new characters this year, including a skeleton dog.

“We’re excited to share that Skelly will be back this Halloween season along with a new companion and friends. Take a peek and let us know which product you’re most excited to see online and in-stores later this year,” Home Depot wrote on Facebook Wednesday.

Last year, Home Depot introduced a special gigantic Jack Skellington to the mix, but there are quite a few new additions this year aside from man’s best friend. And if we’re being honest, most are pretty underwhelming. There’s a headless horseman, a pirate, Frankenstein’s monster, a haunted tree, and what looks like, some kind of deceased degenerate gambler?

The star of the show will likely be the new skeleton dog, though it doesn’t appear that Skelly’s canine friend has a name yet. But given the fact that the internet came up with the name Skelly, we’re sure social media users will come up with something soon enough.

It’s not clear how much the new skeleton additions will cost, nor when they’ll hit store shelves. But Mashable reports it could be as early as April. And while that may seem incredibly early to introduce Halloween products, there are no rules in a post-Skelly society. After all, some people are putting up their enormous skeletons for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
