Save $20 (indirectly): Buying any color of the Nintendo Switch Lite at Amazon gets you a free $20 promo credit as of March 16.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players keep track of time by how far away nurturing an island during the first lockdown feels.

It’s been a year-ish since the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite became quarantine lifesavers, which means it’s also been a year-ish since the consoles were as hard to find in stock as hand sanitizer or toilet paper.

Switches are a little easier to find in stock now — nature is healing. But between the games announced at February’s Nintendo Direct event and the naïve hope that Mario Kart 9 is coming soon, you should definitely consider getting a Switch if you haven’t yet. If you act fast, snagging a Switch Lite on Amazon (in any color) will score you a $20 promotional credit. Seven free days of play on Nintendo Switch Online are also included.

The credit cannot be applied directly to your Switch purchase. Instead, it’ll be sent via email shortly after your Switch Lite has shipped.

But since you’re not about to buy a Switch without any games, that $20 can act as some serious savings on a game. Buying digital from the Nintendo Switch Store will download the game directly to your console without any shipping time. Tons of $19.99 games would technically be free. The disturbing beauty that is Little Nightmares II would only be $9.99, and classics like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would be just $39.99.
