Save $100: The beloved Breville Bambino Plus Espresso Maker is $100.04 off at Best Buy as of Dec 3, bringing the high-end machine down to $399.95.

Leave it up to quarantine to expose how bad your old coffee maker’s coffee really is.

Anyone who’s still working from home has likely put their daily Starbucks habits to rest. They’ve likely enlisted their seven-year-old coffee maker for their morning fix. Many are drinking coffee that tastes more like plastic than anything else.

One of the internet’s most common espresso maker recommendations is $100 off at Best Buy: For $399.95, you can replace that leaky mess with the Breville Bambino Plus. It’s all-but-guaranteed to get you authentic espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos with a taste you won’t complain about.

Current Bambino Plus owners can’t help but gush about the automatic steam wand. With it, you can adjust milk temperature and texture to nail that velvety microfoam that’s typically exclusive to barista-made drinks. It’s one of the best mostly-automated milk steaming processes that you’ll find on any at-home coffee maker, especially at a price point like $399.95.

In June 2020, the Bambino Plus scooped up a T3 Award. (Breville is known as Sage in the UK and Breville outside of the UK.) Aside from the steaming wand, the T3 team fell in love with the effortless user experience. A small panel of buttons keeps usage simple: Choose between three heat settings and a single or double cup, plus whether you want to steam or not.

The lack of a built-in grinder is a bummer, for sure. The Bambino Plus is so compact that some reviewers mention being able to fit both the machine and a separate grinder on the counter with no problem, but it could be a problem for a cramped space. The Breville Barista Express, the Bambino Plus’ only real competitor, does have the built-in grinder and is also $100 off at Best Buy. Its sale price ($599.95) is $200 more than the Bambino Plus, though possibly having to purchase a separate grinder for the Bambino Plus is something to consider.
