The PlayStation Portal remote player costs $199.99 in the US and £199.99 in the UK. Variations in price will be found across different regions as stock becomes more widely available and rolled out.
Is the PlayStation Portal worth it?
We think that the PlayStation Portal is a brilliant remote play device that executes what it’s designed for perfectly. Whether it’s worth it for you will largely depend on your presonal circumstances – if you share the TV with someone in your home, have a family that uses the television a lot, or just want another convenient, easy, handheld way to play your pS5 games then the Portal is perfect.
When will PlayStation Portal stock return?
It feels a bit like reliving the PS5 stock shortage all over again, but right now, we just don’t know exactly when PlayStation Portal restocks will occur. The grains of hope we can cling to now is a message on the PlayStation Direct US page which advises fans to return in “early December for more details on stock availability”.
Away from PlayStation Direct, there have been no such similar messages from retailers, but we’re checking all the time so will update you when we have more information.
Will the PlayStation Portal be available to buy over Cyber Monday?
With Black Friday in the rearview mirror now, and brining no PlayStation Portal stock with it, all eyes are on Cyber Monday. We can hold out hope for some surprise stock drops, but we’d recommend a more general approach trying the links above.
We do know that PlayStation Direct UK saw a flash of stock on November 22, 2023, after the listing page said to check back then, but this hasn’t yet been replicated on the US storefront. Otherwise, we’ve only seen flashes of stock come up on Best Buy and Walmart sparingly so it’s tough times on PlayStation stock this Cyber Monday.

As it stands at around 3am ET on November 25, yes, the PlayStation Portal is sold out in both the US and UK. We’ve seen flashes of stock appear, but it has been all but fleeting since the device launched last week.
