Considering we’ve all been staying indoors and social distancing, chances are high you got a digital gift or virtual gift card this holiday season. The best way to spend gift cards (or pick up a last-minute present) is by ensuring you get a good discount, which is why we’ve rounded up some of the best after-Christmas deals on products we tested and like this year.

And if the too-small sweater or clunky headphones under the tree didn’t make your nice list, here’s how to return everything.

Outdoor and Fitness Deals

January is rife with deals on fitness and outdoor gear thanks to the newfound determination of people with New Year’s resolutions. If the health-related gadget or gizmo you’ve been eyeing isn’t on sale yet, it probably will be soon.

  • REI Year-End Sale: Up to 50 percent off: Nearly every category of outdoor gear that REI sells is discounted. These sorts of big, sweeping discounts aren’t particularly rare for REI, but they are the best times to see if any brand you love has some good deals. For example, all of us on the Gear team swear by DarnTough socks, and a few of the Hiker styles are discounted. They’re ultra-warm and great for cold weather (and backed by a lifetime guarantee).

  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 for $339 ($61 off): If you’re looking for an Apple Watch alternative, this is it. It has blood oxygen saturation measuring capabilities, an electrocardiogram, and you can do all the usual smartwatch functions like step tracking and responding to notifications on your phone. It’ll work on iPhones but with limited functionality. If you don’t want to spend as much, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is also a good option with a similar feature set for $200 ($70 off).

  • Fossil Gen 5E Men’s for $139 ($110 off) and Women’s for $139 ($110 off): This is the best deal we’ve seen on these relatively new watches, even better than Fossil’s Black Friday sale. At this price, they’re great options for checking notifications and basic fitness tracking, but the battery will last only a day, and they’re not super speedy.

  • Garmin Fenix 5 Plus Sapphire Edition for $350 ($400 off): This isn’t the latest Garmin, but if you’re a multisport athlete in search of a rugged fitness watch, this is a great option on sale. It offers color topographic maps, route tracking, an altimeter, and GPS functionality. It’ll also analyze your heart rate to tell you what level of activity your body is ready for. The display is protected by sapphire crystal, which is tougher to scratch than glass.

  • Beats Powerbeats Pro for $170 ($80 off): Earbuds keep falling off when you work out? These will stay in no matter what you’re doing and have good sound quality and 9-hour battery life. Our review has more details.

  • Apple Watch Series 6 for $350 ($49 off): This is the best smartwatch if you have an iPhone. It can track sleep, blood oxygen saturation and the level of ambient noise around you, plus it has an ECG and can do plenty more. Read our review.
