Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 price analysis
A hike in the Fold’s price isn’t exactly ideal when it comes to expanding the adoption of foldable phones. And with the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s price tag, Samsung may be chancing its hand a bit.
There’s no doubt you’re getting a high-end, high-quality foldable phone with the Fold 6. And a device that’s benefited from five generations of iteration on both the hardware and software side. Add in a dose of AI baked in from the start, and you’re looking at a seriously flagship foldable.
However, the competition in the foldables market has increased with the Google Pixel Fold and OnePlus Open offering compelling foldable phones for prices that undercut Samsung’s Fold. Time will tell if Samsung has overextended with the Fold 6, but at its current price the new Fold doesn’t feel like a slam-dunk.
