Actor Sandra Oh appeared at a protest against rising hate and violence against the Asian and Asian American community.

Oh took the megaphone in Pittsburgh on Sunday to share a moment with the community, and to sit with the anger, fear, and pain many are feeling since Tuesday’s racist attack in Atlanta.

“For many of us in our community, this is the first time we are even able to voice our fear and our anger, and I really am so grateful for everyone willing to listen,” Oh said before asking the assembled crowd if they were willing to step up and help Asian Americans.

“I am proud to be Asian,” she calls out strongly, to an echo from the crowd. “I belong here.”
