If anything can get the serial social distancing streamers to pause Netflix and Hulu for a damn second, it’s Shark Week.

The Discovery Channel’s iconic summer tradition (now in its 32nd year) starts on Sunday, Aug. 9 and runs until Sunday, Aug. 18. The lineup celebrates the 20th anniversary of Air Jaws as well as the premiere of Tiger Shark King and Abandoned Waters, a special about how sharks are experiencing their real natural habitat now that human interaction has declined due to COVID-19. If The Shallows didn’t have you too shook to watch Shark content for 20 hours straight, there’s actually a lot to be learned about these creatures and the ever-increasing threat on their existence including overfishing, coral reef destruction, and the demand for shark fins.

It goes without saying that seeing those teeth in 4K and HDR10+ would RULE.

If you’re considering taking the plunge on that new TV you’ve wanted all summer, this weekend’s sales can get you on for a surprisingly low price. Example: Grabbing the 75-inch model of Samsung’s The Frame can get you a 32-inch The Frame TV for $100.
