We’ve already had two State of Play events to enjoy so far in 2024, but there’s even more on the way very soon indeed. Sony has announced the next big PlayStation event, which will cover 14 PS5 and PSVR2 titles.
Since the series of shows began in 2019, Sony has used the State of Play presentations to reveal big-hitting games and details such as The Last of Us 2 release date, debut gameplay footage for Ghost of Tsushima, and more. So, it’s always worth tuning in to the State of Play live streams if you want to be alerted to any big announcements for new PS5 games.
The last State of Play aired on February 6, 2024, and was dedicated to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. A week before that we had a more ‘traditional’ State of Play’ presentation covering many games such as Death Stranding 2, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Silent Hill 2 Remake, and more. Here’s what we know about the upcoming State of Play event, and what to expect.
When is the next Sony State of Play?
The next State of Play event will air Thursday May 30 at 3PM PT / 6PM ET / 11PM BST. You can find more details on where to watch it by heading to the PlayStation Blog.
What can we expect from the next Sony State of Play?
According to the announcement Tweet, the next State of Play event will cover ‘updates on 14 PS5 and PSVR2 titles, including a look at PlayStation Studios titles arriving later this year.’ So far, little has been revealed beyond this. Given that PlayStation Studios is mentioned, it’s possible that some big new games will be announced. We’ll have to wait and see.
