CBS All Access released a trailer for Star Trek: Lower Decks on Sunday. It features the antics and adventures of the “lower deck” crew members who are charged with tasks like cleaning out prison waste and servicing space vehicles — not exactly the glamorous life of a Star Trek crew member that we typically get to see.
From Mike McMahan, a writer, producer, and one-time showrunner of Rick and Morty, the new series looks like a fun, fresh take on a sci-fi classic. Star Trek: Lower Decks premieres Aug. 6 on CBS All Access.
