If Peloton’s recent sale milestones have shown us anything, it’s that people will go to great lengths to recreate the gym experience at home amid the COIVD-19 pandemic. But we’ll go out on a limb and guess that $2,000 (on top of membership fees) isn’t a reasonable ask for most shoppers in need of new workout equipment.

The thing is, finding workout equipment on sale online can be tricky. Lately, we’ve seen one of two things happening: Either retailers’ supplies are almost completely depleted, or they’ll list items “on sale” above retail price to make it look like you’re getting a good deal when you’re actually paying MSRP. (It’s annoying at best and deceptive at worst, but we digress.)
After doing some serious digging, we managed to scrounge up several (legitimate) sales on home gym equipment at Best Buy and Dick’s Sporting Goods, with savings of up to $2,400 on cardio machines, a massage gun, and the high-tech Echelon Reflect touchscreen workout mirror. Good luck finding better deals than these:

Dubbed “the Peloton of rowing machines,” the WiFi- and Bluetooth-compatible Hydrow is a premium rower that connects you to live and on-demand workouts taught by world-class athletes (monthly subscription sold separately). It’s not on sale in the traditional sense, but you’ll receive a free $80 Best Buy e-gift card to spend across the electronics retailer’s site when you buy one for $2,199.
Missing your weekly yoga, pilates, Zumba, and/or boxing classes? The new Echelon Reflect is a 50-inch touchscreen smart mirror/fitness system with personalized statistics and progress tracking that offers live-streamed workouts in addition to hundreds of on-demand sessions (monthly subscription sold separately). Best Buy and Dick’s both have it on sale for $1,599, or 20% off its usual retail price of $1,999.99.
