TL;DR: Shop easy care plants for up to 20% off at Plants.com as of Aug. 28.

Plants are great and can make your home feel more filled with life. That is, as long as you can keep them alive. Not all plants are the easiest to take care of, especially if the lighting in your house is hit or miss. There are some options that you can get, though, that will take you from plant killer to master green thumb.

Plants.com is running a sale on its easy-to-care-for plants, allowing even the most inexperienced gardeners to have some thriving greenery. Here are a few of our favorite plants on sale for up to 20% off.

I bought one of these at the start of the pandemic way back in March and it continuously surprises me with how well it’s doing. It’s already outgrowing its pot and I’ve barely had to do anything. These plants prefer bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate low light and they only need watered every couple weeks once the soil is dry. ZZ plants are so easy, even if you’re a neglectful plant parent.

Similar to ZZ plants, snake plants are good with bright or low indirect light and need watered every week or so when the soil dries. These plants look great with any home decor as they have a super modern look. Don’t invest in one of these if you have any furry friends roaming around your house, though, because they’re not pet-friendly plants.

This is a statement piece kind of plant. It’s big and takes up space — in a good way. It’ll make you feel like you’re in a lush jungle even if you live in a concrete-laden city. This palm requires bright, indirect light and needs water when the top 2 to 3 inches of soil are dry, which translates to about once a week.

I love this plant simply because its name is Dumb Cane. It is not actually a dumb plant — in fact it’s pretty cool. It has speckled two-toned leaves and is super luscious. This plant prefers bright, indirect sunlight, but will tolerate low light as well. It wants watered once a week when the top soil is dry.

If you’re running out of floor or shelf space for plants, grab this hanging one to keep your plant collection growing. This plant is extremely low maintenance and just needs moderate to low light and water every few weeks once it’s starting to look droopy. It’s not pet friendly, but as long as your pet can’t reach where it’s hanging, you should be good.

There are other plants included in the sale as well — be sure to browse the entire selection.
