SAVE $10.05: As of Dec. 22, you can score a physical copy of the new Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection on sale for just $49.94 at Walmart and Amazon. (It usually retails for $59.99, so you’ll be saving about 17%.)

Yes, 2020 brought us two great new video game consoles and tons of exciting new titles to play (and meme). But when all’s said and done, we think we’ll remember it as the year of remakes and remasters.

Unveiled in September as a limited release to celebrate Super Mario’s 35th anniversary, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundle was one such highlight, taking three pre-2010 games from the franchise (each iconic in their own right) to the Nintendo Switch platform for the first time ever.

In another first, it just went on sale: As of Dec. 22, you can get a physical copy of 3D All-Stars for just $49.94 at Walmart and Amazon — that’s a solid $10.05 off its $59.99 MSRP, which it’s lingered at up until now. Note that both physical and digital copies of the collection will only be available through March 31, 2021 (or while supplies last) as part of its limited run, so this might be one of the only times it ever sees a noteworthy discount.

As previously stated, this bundle features three different Mario games from the past few decades: 1996’s Super Mario 64, which took our overall-clad hero on his maiden voyage in a 3D world; Super Mario Sunshine from 2002, a tropical romp originally released for the Nintendo GameCube; and Super Mario Galaxy, a 2007 Wii title that had Mario blasting off into outer space to rescue Princess Peach from the Bowser family.

To be clear, the games included in 3D All-Stars are not remasters — just rereleases; beyond basic controls, Nintendo hasn’t tweaked their gameplay at all to make them more Switch-friendly, nor has it added any special Easter eggs or bonus content. (You can play any of their soundtracks while your Switch is idling, however, so there’s that.) Still, senior games reporter Adam Rosenberg says it’s a must-have for any Nintendo fan, no question — click here to read his official review.

The biggest catch is that neither Walmart nor Amazon can get you Super Mario 3D All-Stars in time for Christmas — we saw estimated delivery dates of Dec. 29 and Jan. 27 to 29, 2021, respectively, at the time of writing — but this one feels worth the wait. Smash the blue button below to grab a copy while it’s still in stock and on sale.
