Ever wanted to be inside of an Apple Store but also inside of a Target? Wish granted.
On Thursday, Target announced it’s launching “an enhanced Apple shopping experience” in certain retail locations. The experience will bring Apple products and accessories into one space, which will have its dedicated Target Tech Consultants, who will receive special training from Apple.
In terms of design, the dedicated Apple space will have new lighting fixtures and displays for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and other Apple products and accessories. Online, Target’s website and mobile app will also include a dedicated Apple experience.
“This new model was created with Target’s guests in mind, and we’ll continue to learn and enhance the experience through future rollouts later this year,” Christina Hennington, executive vice president and chief growth officer at Target, said in a statement.
This is not the first time Target has launched brand-oriented, dedicated spaces in its stores; previously, the company collaborated with Disney, Ultra Beauty, and Levi Strauss & Co.
Target is launching the mini Apple stores (let’s face it, that’s what people will call them) in 17 of its stores this month — check out the full list here. The company said additional locations will be rolling out “in 2021 and beyond.” As for the online experience, it’s available now.
