In 2020, nothing meets expectations. Unfortunately that goes for video games as well as life.
CD Projekt Red’s highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 released Dec. 10. Despite several delays and reports of crunch that forced workers into six-day weeks, the end result left quite a bit to be desired, with players quickly discovering a mess of bugs and glitches. And a great lesson we can take from all this is that, while games we love will always be worth the wait (no matter how delayed), sending developers death threats to get what you want when you want sooner it is never worth it. (It’s also illegal.)
Some players are making the best out of a not-so-great situation, sharing the funniest bugs they’ve encountered under the #Cyberbug2077 hashtag. As long as the glitches are here, let’s at least have some fun, right?
It’s hard to navigate the blurry textured waters of Cyberpunk 2077‘s half-baked release. On one hand, consumers have every right to be angry that the game they spent $60 on is not as advertised, and even sometimes actively unplayable depending on where you’re playing. On the other hand, the folks who worked tirelessly on this game — to the point of raising questions about the unethical treatment of workers — had to push themselves to the limit throughout a pandemic in order to deliver Cyberpunk on time.
If you have to blame someone, blame the people in charge of decision-making at CD Projekt Red and every angry mob of fans who pressured the studio to cut it with the delays and put something out.

Ok the single most reported and hilarious glitch has to be what’s being dubbed the “dick out” glitch, in which — you guessed it — dicks are out. Clipping your genitals through pants has never looked so painless!
But don’t worry — everyone’s genitals get to come out and play! I think Regina George was the one who first made this a trend.
Cyberpunk 2077 definitely delivered on the promise of a character designer unlike any other.
You ever merk a guy so hard he gets thrown out of his whole entire car?
A whole new world, dropping straight from the sky!
This very relatable 2020 glow down for Keanu Reeves
The kids love “tree” — I see them paying each other for it all the time on Venmo.
What’s great about some of these glitches is that Night City citizens like to yell at you about them.
Will never progress in Cyberpunk 2077 because I can’t stop watching every single driver slowly crash into this one barricade and then yell at me about it pic.twitter.com/AqE5wbCsvT

Lots of PS1-looking people running around Night City.
Where we’re goin, we don’t even need bikes.
When you literally cannot get off your couch.
Coming out of the closet in Cyberpunk 2077 seems much easier than it does IRL.
The wonder, the awe, the most believable city in all of video games.
Hot tip for our speedrunners out there:
T-pose is actually very hip in Night City.
GUN HANDS! Yes! Don’t patch this one make it an upgrade, plz.
Is this professional soccer, or a video game?
Whatever the hell is happening here, we endorse it.
