Robot vacuums are supposed to make life easier. Got it. But that convenience factor plummets when your robovac takes forever to clean, moseying around and waiting for someone to trip. After all that, you had better not find a dust bunny left behind in a corner.
The Neato Botvac D7 is one of the fastest robot vacuums on the market, completing its tasks in a fraction of the time that others took (according to a test done by Tom’s Guide). It makes an appearance in most every list of best robot vacuums on Google, frequently lumped in the “if you can splurge” section for its retail price of $799.99. While it’s still that price on Amazon, you can snag it at Walmart for $490.99 plus free delivery. (Ignore Walmart’s inflated OG price of $829.99.)
Over $300 in savings gets it down to the price of a mid-range Shark or Roomba. Most robot vacuums at the $500 price point rely on suction power of 600 to 1,300 Pa. The D7 unleashes 2,000 Pa onto your bare floors and high-pile carpets, pulling even the most stubborn pet hairs and stickiest debris up and into its bin.
You’ll notice that it’s D-shaped — that flat edge is crucial for fitting Tetris-style into corners where a round vac’s long side brushes can’t even reach. It’s a pretty genius shape that Roomba’s $1,099 s9+. Granted, some of its price is due to the inclusion of a huge self-empty bin. But Walmart’s sale on the Botvac D7 could get you two D7s for the price of one s9+.
