Need guidance at a glance? These are our favorite TV deals from Walmart, Best Buy, Dell, and Amazon as of Jan. 29:

We know nothing will ever be as entertaining as Reddit absolutely dunking on Wall Street.

But as the high from New Year’s and the first month of the year wears off, you may be looking for entertainment to get you to the start of Daylight Saving Time. The Little Things — the iconic mashup between Denzel Washington, Jared Leto, Rami Malek, and most importantly, Sofia Vassilieva from Eloise at Christmastime — is streaming on HBO Max, while Saint Maud, A24’s highly-awaited new horror, hits Epix on Feb. 12.

You’ll be hanging out with your TV a lot. Conveniently enough, the week before that one big football game is one of the best times of the year to find good TV deals. We’re seeing retailers like Best Buy build on deals we saw last week, cutting up to $500 extra off of an already-existing sale price. Samsung is getting in the football spirit with a huge sale on big-screen QLEDs.

Here are our weekend favorite TV deals from Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Dell, organized by brand, then size, then price:

Samsung

OUR TOP PICK: Samsung 50-inch The Frame OLED 4K Smart TV (QN50LS03TAFXZA) — $1,199.99 (save $100)

A mere $100 discount is a big deal when it’s on Samsung’s 2020 version of The Frame, which we still haven’t gotten over — despite the 2021 model dropping at CES. The Frame’s dual quantum dot technology captures over a billion hues, with backlighting that stays on top of each scene to adjust tones and keep contrast lifelike. But we know everyone is here for Ambient Mode, which you can get on your wall for less than $550. Order within the next few days for delivery by game time.

LG

OUR TOP PICK: LG 75-inch NanoCell 80 Series 4K UHD Smart TV (75NANO80UNA) — $999.99 (save $500)

The NanoCell TVs normally strapped with $50 discounts are getting special treatment this weekend. This particular mammoth model is seeing one of the best price slashes — making it the only 75-inch NanoCell under $1,000 at Best Buy right now. Since 2017, LG’s NanoCell TVs have been a solid choice that we keep coming back to. The technology builds on LCD and LED by deploying particles to soak up light and boost color saturation, while still staying out of the QLED price range. Ordering by Jan. 30 should get it to you by Feb. 7.

Sony

OUR TOP PICK: Sony 75-inch Z8H Series 8K UHD Smart TV (XBR75Z8H) — $4,999.99 (save $1,000)

One of the high points of Sony’s 2020 collection was the Z8H 8K, now $1,000 off the price it debuted at over the summer. The most affordable 8K TV Sony has come up with, the Z8H can reach 2500 nits of brightness (showcasing what HDR can really do) and cuts the noise and pixel-y blur out of deep hues and shadows. It’s armed with Sony’s X1 Ultimate video processor, a total beast at upscaling picture. Just note that 8K isn’t supported with USB or YouTube streaming. This model may not arrive by Feb. 7.

Hisense, Vizio, and more:

OUR TOP PICK: RCA 65-inch 4K QLED Smart Roku TV (RTRQ6522-US) $448 (save $250.01)

Budget QLEDs were a big theme in the 2020 TV market, and we’re really seeing it come to fruition with this stellar deal from RCA. A 65-inch TV for less than $500 is notable even when it’s just traditional LED — but RCA has managed to pack quantum dot nanocrystal technology and 100% color volume into a package that the average household can still afford. Free two-day delivery is available.
