Deadline reports Olivia Wilde is attached to direct a film adaptation of Rob Liefeld’s comic book series, Avengelyne, for Margot Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap. The source material concerns “an angel who fights the forces of evil and often finds herself face-to-face with demons and monsters. She was the most feared warrior in Heaven’s Warhost, having single-handedly broken into Pandemonium, the outer fortress of Hell, to confront the Devil himself. She is a fallen angel, banished from Heaven by God after being tricked into questioning his love for humans. Avengelyne was stripped of all her angelic abilities, other than her great strength and her blood, which, once extracted from her body, could be used as a weapon or a miracle once empowered by quoting verses from the Bible. Avengelyne uses her powers to fight demons on Earth and is being groomed to be humankind’s last hope in a coming Armageddon.”

Production has officially begun on the new Karate Kid movie starring Ben Wang, Ralph Macchio, Jackie Chan, Ming-Na Wen, Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Aramis Knight and Wyatt Oleff.

Universal has released a new trailer and featurette for its upcoming vampire ballerina movie, Abigail.

Elsewhere, The Asylum has released a trailer for its Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire mockbuster, Ape x Mecha Ape: The New World Order.

Daredevil: Born Again

Deadline also reports Lou Taylor Pucci (Physical) has joined the cast of Daredevil: Born Again in a currently undisclosed role.

Among Us

According to Comic Book, Debra Wilson will voice the Yellow Crewmate, Patton Oswalt will voice the White Crewmate, Phil LaMarr will voice the Brown Crewmate and Wayne Knight will voice the Lime Crewmate in the upcoming Among Us animated series at CBS.

Futurama

TV Line reports Futurama will return for a new season this July 29 on Hulu.
