The date for Prime Day 2020, which was bumped from July to “sometime in the fall” due to the coronavirus, has been officially reported by sources CNET and The Verge as Oct. 13. If the big event is anything like it was last year, it’ll span for two days.

But if you’re in the market for a high-end blender, there’s no need to even wait until Prime Day (or Black Friday, for that matter): Vitamix’s biggest sale of the year kicked off on Sept. 23, and it’s two days long, too. Boom.

Vitamix Days is Vitamix’s annual 48-hour sale, where the brand’s top blenders and accessories see discounts up to 50% off. This could amount to savings between $150 and $200 for some models — meaning you could score a Vitamix for your counter for, well, a lot less than that $600 price point that they’re famous for. To seal the deal, Vitamix is offering free shipping sitewide.

We probably don’t need to explain why Vitamix blenders are some of the best blenders you can buy. Anyone who’s using a blender for more than a frozen marg in the summer knows what that horsepower and blade force can do for a good match of nut butter, whole juice, chunky soup, and other recipes that require precise whipping or emulsification. Our findings show that Vitamix even beats out Blendtec when it comes to such tricky methods.

Here’s what to pick up during Vitamix Days 2020:

Vitamix’s Ascent Series feature a slick touchscreen outside and Vitamix’s Smart System inside, which streamlines the process with built-in digital timers and self-detecting containers that automatically adjust blending settings for the container you’ve chosen (like 64 ounces for a big batch or a blending cup for a solo smoothie). The A3500 also has five one-touch programs for smoothies, hot soups, dips/spreads, frozen desserts and self-clean.

Limited counter space — or blending needs maxing out at personal breakfast smoothies — don’t mean you don’t deserve a Vitamix. The S50 comes with a 20-ounce jar that becomes an instant travel cup and a 40-ounce jar for small batches of soup or frozen desserts. Factory reconditioned Vitamix models are certified to work like new and are backed by Vitamix’s five year warranty.

The average household throws away a lot of food scraps, and that food waste almost assuredly makes its way to a brimming landfill to rot. The problem is that decaying organic matter exhales a cloud of greenhouse gases like methane and carbon dioxide — two major climate change offenders. Instead of letting your kitchen garbage bin get stinky, a countertop composter like the Vitamix Food Cycler can turn things like fruit cores, dairy, and chicken bones (as well as yard scraps) into nutrient-rich fertilizer in three to eight hours. All you have to do is press a button.

Some people just don’t like touchscreens, OK? A classic Vitamix choice, the 6500 offers manual dial control over the heavy-duty 2.2 HP motor (the oomph needed for nut butter), variable speed control, and pre-programmed settings for smoothies, hot soups, and frozen desserts.
