Microsoft’s new next-gen console only landed yesterday, and all anyone is wondering is where to buy Xbox Series X. When it released, we saw limited stock vanish instantly at a few of the big retailers – in this piece, we’ll explain which retailers haven’t released Xbox Series X stock for purchase this week yet, and we’ll update this page as soon as we see the Xbox Series X back in stock.

In the US, we’ve seen Microsoft, GameStop and Walmart selling the Xbox Series X on launch day – but stock sold out so fast that it was very hard to get one. You’ll want to keep refreshing these retailers, though, because we’ve seen stock come and go since yesterday, especially at Microsoft. We’re now waiting to see if Amazon and Best Buy will open their virtual doors and offer more stock for the Xbox Series X launch.

The UK has seen Xbox Series X stock from Microsoft, John Lewis and Very since launch so far – but we’d keep checking on Amazon, Currys, and Argos for more updates this week as well, just in case we see more.

Keep this page bookmarked if you want to know where to buy Xbox Series X, because we’ll refresh with the latest Xbox Series X stock as soon as we get more update. And don’t be shy about refreshing those pages, as you never know when more inventory will become available.

Xbox Series X: check for latest stock updates at Amazon
Amazon hasn’t yet offered up the chance to buy Xbox Series X this week, but as soon as it does things are going to get competitive. Amazon was listed by Microsoft as offering up launch stock, as were the rest of the retailers here, but we’re yet to see any movement.

Xbox Series X: check for latest stock updates at Best Buy
Best Buy is the second retailer we’re yet to hear from in this wave of launch stock. The retailer remained quiet over the release period yesterday, with the console listed as ‘out of stock’. Keep checking for the latest stock updates to be one of the first to know when those consoles do become available.

Xbox Series S: $299 at Amazon
Amazon is the retailer to most recently have Xbox Series S stock up for grabs, and we’re seeing it flashing back in and out of availability right now. Keep trying if you’re struggling to buy Xbox Series S, though.

Microsoft
Microsoft has been flashing in and out of stock over the last few hours, so we’d recommend checking in frequently if you’re having difficulty buying Xbox Series X. Not only that, but you can also grab a console using the All Access scheme at Microsoft – allowing you to buy Xbox Series X for $34.99 a month.

Best Buy
Best Buy is offering a discounted controller when you buy Xbox Series X, bringing the new gamepad’s price down to $44.99 from the usual $59.99. However, we’re yet to see the Xbox Series X live on the site.

When stock does arrive you’ll be able to grab a discounted Xbox controller, though you can also pick one up for the full price right now.

B&H Photo
B&H Photo won’t be the first place many look when trying to buy Xbox Series X. While that does mean you’ve got a better chance at beating the crowds here, B&H Photo is likely to have less stock on the shelves compared to some of the bigger tech giants.

Newegg
Newegg’s initial Xbox Series X pre-orders were limited, but we’re holding out hope that we’ll see more stock when other retailers open their doors. Microsoft has named the retailer as one carrying day-one stock, which means you’ll want to keep an eye out here as well.

Walmart
Walmart’s pre-order stock was snapped up in seconds earlier this year, which means you’re going to have to fight if you’re looking to buy Xbox Series X here.

Amazon
If you’re looking to buy Xbox Series X at launch, and have fast and free shipping you’ll want to head to Amazon. Not only are you likely to get the best delivery times (if you’re a Prime member that is), but we saw a good amount of stock holding on at Amazon over the pre-order window as well.

Amazon is also now stocking new Xbox controllers as well.

Microsoft
Microsoft launched its own Xbox Series X stock early , giving those with eagle eyes the opportunity to buy Xbox Series X ahead of launch day. While stock does remain out at the moment, we’d keep checking in as we were seeing units flashing in and out all the time. You can also save 20% on a second wireless controller when you buy Xbox Series X through Microsoft as well.

Currys
There’s no word yet on how many consoles Currys will stock over launch day, and with no landing page to speak of things are looking a little suspect right now. By contrast, the PS5 already has a well stocked page ready and waiting for launch next week.

Very
Very had a good run during the initial pre-order window, offering up final waves of early stock far longer than other retailers. This is mostly due to the fact that Very keeps stock back to sell with premium accessories for higher value bundles (though it’s rare to save any cash, you might be able to buy Xbox Series X easier if you’re willing to spend a little more and pick up some peripherals with it).

Very is also now stocking new Xbox controllers as well.

Argos
Argos may not have a landing page for those looking to buy Xbox Series X just yet, but it’s certainly one of the best places to head to once that stock does land. That’s because the highstreet retailer organises its stock by region, which means you’re competing against a significantly smaller pool of shoppers. Nevertheless, that does mean that stock will run out faster as well.

You’ll also find new Xbox controllers in stock right now.
