Thinking about tuning in? Here’s what you need to know.

Loki hits Disney+ on Friday, June 11. You’ll need a subscription to the streaming service to tune in. Be sure to watch all the Marvel movies in order to catch up on what’s happening.

Who’s the girl in the Loki trailer? Does Loki have a love interest?

While Loki does have a love interest in the comics — Sigyn — it’s not likely that’s her you see in the Loki trailer. Fans have actually gone back and forth about whether it is Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow character or Lady Loki.

What are people saying about Loki so far?

Critics have had plenty to say about the Loki trailer, including Mashable senior games reporter Adam Rosenberg, noting, “Loki looks like it’ll be a treat for Marvel fans. This expansive new trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series lays out some of what to expect from Tom Hiddleston’s first, big solo venture as the MCU’s most mischievous Asgardian.”

Here are some more highlights from across the web:

  • “Thematically, Loki ties into other upcoming Marvel Studios releases like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, WandaVision and Spider-Man 3 (which will bring in characters from previous Spider-Man movie franchises as part of an exploration of the multiverse). With infinite possibilities, things are bound to get very weird.” — Hannah Shaw-Williams, writer at Screen Rant

  • Loki looks out of this world — this reality, even. And that’s the intention of the upcoming Disney+ limited series centering around Tom Hiddleston‘s God of Mischief, who we last saw in Avengers: Endgame stealing the Tesseract and teleporting off to goodness knows where. And it turns out, Loki isn’t so sure himself, as the trickster god finds himself jumping through time, and various realities, and apparently pursued (and at one point, captured) by a mysterious organization known as the TVA, led by Owen Wilson.” — Hoai-Tran Bui, writer and critic at SlashFilm

  • “In the new trailer, Loki, labeled a “variant,” finds himself arrested and recruited by the Time-Keepers, also known as the Time Variance Authority, to help them fix the mess in the time-space continuum created by his escape. But who’s the player, and who is being played?” — Christian Holub, writer at EW

Disney+ doesn’t offer a free trial, but you can snag a subscription for $7.99 a month or $79.99 annually.
