According to /Film, Smile 2 concerns a pop star (Naomi Scott) who picks up the titular curse after a fan (Lukas Gage) “breaks into her dressing room and smiles creepily at her.” The outlet additionally notes “a kid with braces” also “flashes her a similar malevolent smile” in the footage screened at CinemaCon 2024.
