Many of Saturday Night Live‘s best sketches are fake commercials about real things and now we have a new one for the all-time greats list.
This ad for the online real estate marketplace Zillow plays like one of those phone sex ads that used to (still do?) air on late-night TV. We’re talking intimate scenes, gauzy cinematography, highly suggestive editing… the works. Except the thing getting these people all hot and bothered here is the kink of choice for many late 30-something adults: real estate porn.
“The pleasure you once got from sex now comes from looking at other people’s houses,” Ego Nwodim says in a sultry voice. I don’t need to spell it out any clearer than that. The hilarity is in the performances, including standout moments from Dan Levy, Bowen Yang, Mikey Day, and Cecily Strong.
