Need a new vacuum, but missed out on this year’s Cyber Weekend sales? Don’t worry about it— Consumer Reports’ 2020 Best Time to Buy Things list says the whole month of December is one of the few times of the year where we see deep discounts on vacuums across most major retailers. (The other times being August, ahead of Labor Day; November, ahead of Black Friday; and March through April — that’s when stores run spring cleaning deals and typically discount older models to make way for new ones, according to The Spruce.)
Indeed, Amazon still has kept several iRobot robotic vacuums and mops on sale at their Black Friday and Cyber Monday prices as of Dec. 2, with discounts as high as 43% on select models. (See? You didn’t really miss out at all.) Here’s the lowdown:
Boasting ten times the suction of iRobot’s popular 600-series models, the Roomba i7 is a powerful and sleek robot vacuum with some brains to match: It comes equipped with adaptive navigation and Smart Mapping technologies on top of virtual assistant compatibility. (It works with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.) The last time we checked, it was still on sale at its $399 Cyber Monday pricing — that’s a whole 43% off its $699.99 MSRP.
With iRobot’s patented 3-Stage Cleaning system, Dirt Detect sensors, advanced navigation, and smart assistant support, the Roomba 675 is probably the ultimate starter Roomba. It usually retails for $279.99, but Amazon dropped it down to just $179 on Black Friday and hasn’t raised the price since.
Hardwood floors need a good spiffing-up? Enter: the iRobot Braava Jet M6, a voice-controlled robotic mop with a Precision Jet Spray, Smart Mapping, and Imprint Link technology, which allows it to work in tandem with select Roombas for thorough whole-house cleaning. Data on the price-tracking site camelcamelcamel shows that it’s been on sale for $399 since mid-November, which is a solid 20% off its suggested retail price of $499.99.
