Final Destination: Bloodlines

The Wolf Man

Deadline reports Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale) has joined the cast of Leigh Whannel’s remake of The Wolf Man currently filming in New Zealand. Though details on his character are not available at this time, a new synopsis states the reboot follows “a family who is being terrorized by a lethal predator.”

The Monkey

Deadline also reports filming has wrapped on The Monkey, a film adaptation of the Stephen King story starring Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Rohan Campbell and Sarah Levy. Directed by Osgood Perkins, the story follows “twin brothers Hal and Bill who discover their father’s old monkey toy in the attic.” However, this leads to “a series of gruesome deaths occurring all around them. The brothers then decide to throw the monkey away and move on with their lives, growing apart over the years. But when the mysterious deaths begin again, the brothers must reunite to find a way to destroy the monkey for good before it takes the lives of everyone close to them.”

Child’s Play 8

During his recent appearance on the Scream Dreams Podcast (via Bloody-Disgusting), Don Mancini revealed he’s currently “in the early stages” of developing an eighth Child’s Play movie.

Like anyone in this business, I want to do more things. At this point though if it’s only Chucky I’m totally cool with that. I have other things I want to do. I’m working on a new pilot. I’m also, actually, in the early stages of working on a new Chucky movie. At this point, my goal is just to keep working.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey 3

Variety also reports a third Blood & Honey movie is now in development from returning director Rhys Frake-Waterfield.

Bloody-Disgusting also reports Cuckoo has been pushed back three months and will now reach theaters this August 9.
