“The world has a way of changing, but there’s one thing that always stays the same,” action hero Dom Toretto tells us in the newest clip out of the Fast and Furious universe. That one thing? That Fast and Furious is undeniably, explosively, ridiculously awesome.

Ahead of Super Bowl LV on Sunday, Universal Pictures dropped a 30-second teaser for the upcoming action flick F9, also known as Fast and Furious 9, directed by Justin Lin. The project was originally slated to arrive in theaters in spring of 2019, but after logistical production delays became COVID-19 delays, the film is now expected sometime in spring 2021.

Lin joined the franchise in 2006 with Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and later directed Fast & Furious 4, 5, and 6. He’s joined by returning stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang — along with franchise newcomers John Cena and Cardi B.

The trailer gives us lots of little tidbits to look forward to, but we don’t have a date quite yet. It’ll be in theaters “soon,” per the teaser; no word yet on streaming availability.
